Workshop
Digital Unity in Europe:
Futureproofing Against Next-Gen Cyber Threats
Cyber Innovation & Dual-Use Technology
15th of January 2026 | Bucharest, Romania
Organised by Constanta Maritime University
About The Event
This event brings together policymakers, cybersecurity authorities, defence stakeholders, industry leaders, start-ups, and academia to explore how Europe can strengthen its long-term cyber resilience in an era of accelerating technological change and growing geopolitical competition.
The event focuses on next-generation and dual-use cybersecurity technologies—from AI-enabled security solutions and advanced threat detection to secure cloud infrastructures and cyber-physical systems protection—and examines how these capabilities can be effectively integrated across civilian, defence, and hybrid operational environments. Emphasis is placed on bridging policy ambition with technological readiness and real-world deployment.
Designed as a high-level strategic and innovation-driven forum, the event combines policy debate with applied technology engagement. Participants will engage in forward-looking discussions on cyber preparedness, governance, innovation ecosystems, and investment pathways, while also interacting directly with start-ups, SMEs, and technology providers showcasing market-ready solutions.
Organised by the Constanta Maritime University within the framework of the ECYBRIDGE initiative, the event contributes to shaping a shared European vision for cybersecurity—one grounded in cooperation, interoperability, and the strategic integration of innovation across civilian and defence domains.
